Quick Mixer

The Quick Mixer is Barry reduced to what you usually want: every audible app, one slider each, a mute key. It floats above whatever you are doing.

Open it

Three ways:

• Press ⇧⌘M
• Push your mouse against the right edge of the screen
• Right-click the menu bar icon and choose Sticky to keep the full panel up instead

Press ⇧⌘M again, or Escape, to close it. The shortcut is rebindable in Settings.

What’s in it

Each row is one app: a live meter, its icon, its name, a slider, and a CUT key. The sliders all start and end on the same column, so the mixer reads as a mixer rather than a ragged list.

Past five rows it scrolls.

Moving it

Drag it by its header. It stays where you park it, and reopens there.

When nothing is playing

The mixer says so rather than showing an empty box. Apps appear as they start producing audio and drop off shortly after they stop.
