Input

The Input row at the bottom of the panel controls your microphone and any other input device.

  • Pick a device from the list
  • Set its gain with the slider
  • MUTE cuts it — the label reads MUTE rather than CUT, because for an input that is what it does

A live meter shows what the microphone is actually picking up, which is the fastest way to tell whether you’re muted in a call or just quiet.

Bluetooth

The Bluetooth row lists your paired audio devices with a connect and disconnect control, so you don’t have to open System Settings to switch headphones.

Connected devices show in the accent colour. Disconnecting frees the device for another Mac or phone without unpairing it.

macOS asks for Bluetooth permission the first time you open this section. Barry uses it only to read the list of paired audio devices and to connect or disconnect them.
